New Delhi [India], June 24 : U.S. Senator Chris Murphy on June 24 made a sharp attack on Donald Trump by accusing his administration of being focused on personal financial interests instead of addressing the national issues.

Murphy wrote on X that he could not cover “all of Trump’s corruption” because it would take an extremely long Senate speech. He claimed that Trump was “not fixing America’s problems” because he was “busy rigging the rules for himself.”

The senator added that when corruption becomes normalised, it becomes a permanent risk and warned that the country should not allow that to happen.

Allegations Over $10 Billion

Murphy highlighted what he called a “date of corruption” as May 27, 2026 - claiming Trump awarded a $10 billion government contract to Dell Technologies while holding millions of dollars in the company’s stock. He further alleged that Trump had promoted or supported multiple companies connected to his investment portfolio, raising questions about possible conflicts of interest.

Murphy described the situation as a “national crisis” and accused Trump of turning the White House into a “24/7 corruption operation.”

Senate Floor Speech

The Connecticut senator said, Trump believed the public would stop paying attention, but Murphy said he went to the Senate floor to challenge that assumption. He claimed his speech covered what he described as “500 days of corruption” and said he presented the details in a long social media thread for the public to review.

The allegations come amid ongoing political disputes over Trump’s business interests, government decisions, and ethics concerns.

However, the supporters of Trump have repeatedly rejected any accusations of wrongdoing by calling many such claims as politically motivated.
