New Delhi [India]: Cockroach Janta Party convener Abhijeet Dipke, one of the faces leading protest at Jantar Mantar has ended his hunger strike.
According to CJP, Dipke made this decision so that he could lead the march to parliament.
“The father of a NEET student who died by suicide has persuaded Abhijeet Dipke to end his hunger strike so that he can lead the march to Parliament,” the CJP said in a post on X.
Interestingly, Dipke was on an indefinite hunger strike until the govt met his demands. But he broke his fast in less than 48 hours.
It is notable that education reformer Sonam Wangchuk has not ended his 22 day hunger strike.

He is currently under the doctor's observation in Safadarjung Hospital in the national capital.
Meanwhile, CJP has claimed that the government has reached out to it for discussions, signalling a possible breakthrough in ongoing political engagements.
As part of the latest round of talks, CJP representatives Ashutosh Ranka and Saurav Das will meet Union Minister JP Nadda.
The meeting is expected to focus on the party's demands and the way forward.
