CNH India rolls out 800,000th tractor from Greater Noida plant

The plant currently has an annual production capacity of around 60,000 tractors. CNH India said the capacity is being expanded to 70,000 units to meet demand in domestic and overseas markets.

Greater Noida: CNH India, an equipment, technology and services company has rolled out its 800,000th tractor from its manufacturing facility in Greater Noida, marking a production milestone for the company’s India operations.

The Greater Noida plant, operational since 1999, manufactures tractors under the New Holland and Case IH brands for domestic and export markets. The company said the facility crossed the 700,000-unit mark in 2024 and produced the latest 100,000 tractors within two years.

The plant currently has an annual production capacity of around 60,000 tractors. CNH India said the capacity is being expanded to 70,000 units to meet demand in domestic and overseas markets.

Ravi Kundra, Director Manufacturing Agriculture at CNH India, said the Greater Noida facility continues to play a role in the company’s global manufacturing operations. He said the milestone reflects growth in domestic sales and exports.

Spread across 60 acres, the facility manufactures tractors, engines, transmissions, Power Take-Offs (PTOs) and axles. The company said the plant produces more than 3,000 tractor variants across the New Holland and Case IH brands and employs over 4,000 people in India.

Products manufactured at the facility are exported to more than 90 countries across Asia, Africa, the Middle East, Australia and North America.

CNH India said the plant uses automation systems and quality control processes in manufacturing operations. The company also cited measures including rooftop solar power generation, water conservation and Miyawaki-based plantation programmes at the facility.

The company said India has become a manufacturing and export hub for its small tractor business. CNH India also announced plans to set up a new tractor manufacturing facility to support demand for equipment produced in India.

CNH India operates in the country through the New Holland, Case IH and CASE Construction Equipment brands. The company also operates financing services through CNH Capital India.
