New Delhi: Tensions in West Asia continue to escalate as Iran warned against any U.S. infiltration into its territory amid the ongoing conflict.
The warning comes as the exchange of strikes and counterstrikes between the United States and Iran entered its ninth day.
U.S. President Donald Trump claimed that Iran has been "very badly damaged" militarily, while also asserting that the United States controls the Strait of Hormuz.
However, Iran continues to maintain control over the strategic waterway, a key global oil transit route.

Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is scheduled to hold a high-level security meeting to assess the evolving situation and review Israel's strategy against Iran and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
Despite the sharp rhetoric from both sides, diplomatic efforts may be underway.
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said Iran has been attempting to reach out to Washington through multiple channels, while reports suggest back-channel talks between the two countries are continuing.
Observers say these contacts could open the door to de-escalation even as military tensions remain high.
