Paris [France], June 18: Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Paris last night for the final leg of his visit to France.
In Paris, PM Modi will attend VivaTech 2026, alongside French President Emmanuel Macron.
The VivaTech Summit is Europe’s largest technology and startup event, where Mr modi is expected to highlight India’s growing innovation ecosystem and technological advancements.
India will have the largest national pavilion at this edition of VivaTech Summit, a fitting symbol of the enormous potential for partnership between the Indian and European innovation ecosystems.
The Prime Minister is also scheduled to address members of the Indian community during a special diaspora event.

Prime Minister continues a packed itinerary designed to supercharge bilateral trade and innovation partnerships. He will lead the charge by convening a specialised roundtable with top French and European business leaders, focusing on driving strategic investments into India’s expanding industrial and tech corridors.
The centrepiece of the visit takes place later today at VivaTech, Europe’s premier technology and startup conference.
Prime Minister Modi, alongside French President Emmanuel Macron, will lead a series of high-level engagements at the summit, culminating in a highly anticipated keynote address that highlights India’s skyrocketing global digital footprint.

Modi reached Paris after a series of productive meetings at the G7 Summit, where he put forward India’s views on key areas of governance and policy-making.
In a social media post, the Prime Minister said he also had the opportunity to emphasise the need to work closely with the Global South regarding global prosperity.
At an outreach session of the G7 yesterday, Modi proposed a framework to boost connectivity and trade by combining the strengths of the G7 nations, India and the Global South. He also flagged concerns over the long-lasting consequences of the West Asia crisis on developing countries.
The Paris leg of PM Modi’s visit is expected to further strengthen India-France relations, particularly in technology, innovation and people-to-people ties. France has been a longstanding strategic partner of India, with cooperation spanning defence, space, nuclear energy and cultural exchanges.
