'7-days ultimatum': CJP says remove Dharmendra Pradhan or face escalation

New Delhi (India), June 6: The Cockroach Janata Party (CJP), a satirical online movement, has ended its single-day protest in India's national capital, New Delhi, with a major resolve.

At 5 PM on Saturday, within the allowed time for the protest, the members of CJP announced that the Modi-Government has seven days to remove Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan from his post.

During the press conference at the end of the day today, the CJP protestors said, "Dharmendra Pradhan should resign within 7 days or PM Modi should remove him."

Earlier, Activist and educator Sonam Wangchuk called for accountability in the education system, saying that at a time when the Prime Minister frequently discusses examinations, there should also be a serious discussion on the challenges surrounding them.

Speaking at Jantar Mantar during the protest called by CJP, Wangchuk questioned who would take responsibility for lapses and demanded that accountability be clearly established.

"I fully expect the government to pay close attention. I truly appreciate that our Prime Minister discusses exams... Therefore, a discussion on exams is needed today...how are mistakes being made and who will take responsibility for them...," Wangchuk said addressing the young protestors at Jantar Mantar.

Going further, he stated that this call is not a protest instead it should be considered as an appeal because we need an overhaul of education system in the country.

Jantar Mantar witnessed a huge crowd of students, parents and other activists today during the protest called by CJP amid the continued allegations of paper leak NEET and mismanagement in evaluation process of CBSE.
