Jaipur (Rajasthan), June 15: A protest rally organized by the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) in Jaipur turned chaotic after party founder Abhiji Dipke was slapped and assaulted by two men at city's Shaheed Smarak.

Videos circulating on social media show Dipke being carried on the shoulders of supporters when several individuals approached him amid the crowd. The men are seen pulling at the scarf around his neck before one of them slapped him.

Soon after the incident, the Jaipur Police detained the attackers.

Interestingly, the attackers were chanting that they want to finish the cockroaches and they can deal with the mosquitoes.

"Hum inn machcharon ka ilaj kar skte hain....aur cockroaches ko saaf karna hai," the attacker said when the police was taking him to the van.

The exact reason behind the attack in Jaipur remains unclear. Police officials, who had granted permission for the protest, have taken into custody an individual identified from the viral video and are questioning him regarding the incident.

The disruption comes amid a series of demonstrations organized by the CJP across various cities in recent weeks. Earlier protests against the mismanagement in the CBSE assessment process and NEET paper leaks in Bengaluru and Amritsar had also witnessed tense situations.

In one such incident, Dipke's brother was reportedly heckled during a gathering following an altercation involving attendees and journalists.

Authorities are also investigating how the situation escalated into violence despite security arrangements at the venue.

The Cockroach Janata Party has not yet issued an official statement on the matter. Police said further action would be taken based on the findings of the ongoing investigation. More details are awaited.

Who is Founder of CJP

Founder Abhijit Dipke has also been the subject of public discussion following reports of his previous association with the Aam Aadmi Party. Dipke had earlier worked on social media and digital outreach campaigns for the party before moving to the United States.

Originally from Aurangabad, Maharashtra, Dipke studied journalism in Pune and later pursued higher education in the US. He is currently based in Boston and works as a political communication strategist.

The Cockroach Janata Party emerged after comments made by Chief Justice Surya Kant during a court hearing were interpreted by some as referring to government critics as "cockroaches" and "parasites." The remarks sparked widespread discussion online and eventually inspired the formation of the movement. Justice Surya Kant later clarified that his comments had been taken out of context.
