New Delhi [India], June 21 : Delhi Sports University (DSU), in collaboration with its knowledge partner SixS Sports, successfully conducted the Stage-II Sports Talent Identification process for admission to the Delhi Sports School. The assessment camps were held on June 15 and 16, 2026, at various prestigious centres across Delhi.
The objective of the Stage-II assessment was to systematically identify and evaluate emerging grassroots sports talent. A total of 210 students were shortlisted for this stage, out of which around 87% participated and showcased their sporting abilities. Attendance of 122 participants was recorded on the first day and 59 on the second day, reflecting the enthusiasm and dedication of the young athletes.
The assessment process included advanced sports science tests and sport-specific trials, conducted at three major locations:
Delhi Sports School, Ludlow Castle: Tests were conducted for boxing, shooting, swimming, wrestling, table tennis, weightlifting, and archery (sports science tests only).
Sarvodaya Kanya Vidyalaya, Ashok Vihar: Special trials for archery were conducted here.
Tyagraj Sports Complex: Sports science tests and trials for lawn tennis, badminton, and athletics were organised here.
The entire programme was successfully completed under the supervision of DSU officials, experienced coaches, and the technical team of SixS Sports. During the event, proper arrangements, including facilities, meals, and smooth management, were ensured for the athletes.
DSU also expressed gratitude to the parents whose support and encouragement motivated the children to participate with enthusiasm. The positive feedback from participants and parents reflects a growing commitment towards building a strong sports culture in the country.
The results of the Stage-II assessment will be announced soon. Selected students will be informed about the final admission process.
