New Delhi: Heavy monsoon rains continued to batter several parts of India, triggering floods, waterlogging, and widespread disruptions.
Assam remained the worst-affected state, with six more deaths raising the season's toll to 95. Over 563 villages have been impacted, with Sivasagar, Golaghat, and Jorhat among the hardest-hit districts.
Relief and rescue operations are underway as authorities provide emergency assistance to affected families.
In Uttarakhand, continuous rainfall pushed the Alaknanda and Mandakini rivers close to danger levels, prompting authorities to warn residents to stay away from riverbanks. Waterlogging also disrupted normal life in Haridwar.

Delhi-NCR received another spell of heavy rain, leading to severe waterlogging and traffic congestion.
The weather department issued a red alert for parts of Delhi, an orange alert for Noida and Ghaziabad, and a yellow alert for Gurugram and Faridabad.
With more rainfall forecast, authorities have cautioned that floods, landslides, and rising river levels could continue to pose risks in vulnerable regions over the coming days.
On the other hand, the MET Department has informed that heavy rain will continue in all districts in Keralam today and tomorrow.

Orange Alert, indicating isolated very heavy rainfall, has been issued for Kasaragod, Kannur, Idukki, Ernakulam, Kottayam, Alappuzha, and Pathanamthitta districts today.
Yellow Alert predicting isolated heavy rainfall is in place for all other seven districts. Places including Kakkanad, Kumarakom, and Alappuzha have been experiencing up to 15 mm of rain since 4:00 AM today.
