Indian died in Russia: One Indian worker has lost his life in a drone attack by Ukraine in a region of Russian capital Moscow, the Embassy of India in Russia said in an X post earlier today.
According to embassy, three other workers have been injured in the Ukrainian drone attack.
The embassy added in the post, "One Indian worker has lost his life, and three others have been injured in a drone attack in the Moscow region earlier today."
"Embassy officials have visited the location and met the injured workers in the hospital. The Embassy condoles the loss of life and is working with the company management and local authorities to provide necessary assistance to the workers," the post added.

According to the information available publicly, Russia has stated that this was the largest drone attack by Ukraine on Moscow and its surrounding areas in more than a year.
In Khimki near Moscow, a woman was killed when a drone crashed into a house. In Pogorelki village, two men died when drone debris fell on a construction site. Several buildings and infrastructure facilities were also damaged.
The ongoing Russo-Ukrainian war, which escalated to a full-scale invasion in 2022. Considered as the longest wars in recent decades, Russia-Ukraine is currently in its fifth year.
In latest development, the USA brokered diplomatic peace negotiations and ceasefire agreements which led to the temporary pause in the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.

“I am pleased to announce that there will be a THREE DAY CEASEFIRE (May 9th, 10th, and 11th) in the War between Russia and Ukraine,” Trump wrote in a post on his Truth Social.
According to Al-Jazeera, about 4-5 lakh people have lost their life due to the war and tens of thousands of civilians have suffered heavy losses. The figures are based on the estimates as neither Russia nor Ukraine have revealed exact number of deaths.
