Speaking to NDTV, the Petroleum Minister stated that the country's Russian crude oil imports have increased. He maintained that New Delhi was never asked to completely stop purchasing oil from Russia.

Addressing a press conference in the national capital, Sharma said that the Government maintains adequate stocks of diesel, LPG, natural gas, and crude oil, with all refineries operating at optimum levels.

The Minister highlighted that the country has built adequate energy buffers, including approximately 60 days of crude reserves and 45 days of LPG stocks, ensuring security against external disruptions.
