U.S. President Donald Trump made headlines during the G7 meeting after jokingly saying he is “the boss” while interacting with world leaders. The remark highlighted his strong leadership persona, his global ambitions, and his long-standing desire for recognition, including his wish to receive the Nobel Peace Prize.

G7 leaders said traditional aid programmes have helped developing countries, but they have not done enough to reduce their reliance on foreign assistance.

This marks the first face-to-face meeting between the two leaders since they last met in Washington, D.C., in February 2025.

"Without the United States, there would be no Israel. Without me, there would be no Israel because no other president was willing to do what I did. I've had a great relationship with Bibi, but now Bibi has to be more responsible with respect to Lebanon," he stated.

At G7 meeting, the leaders are expected to discuss efforts to ensure stability in the region and prevent any resurgence of tensions that could disrupt global trade and energy supplies.

The proposed restrictions will apply to leading platforms including Snapchat, TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook and X, as part of the UK government's efforts to strengthen online safety for children and teenagers.

Israeli officials, however, have indicated that the agreement does not address their security concerns regarding Hezbollah.

The proposed deal is expected to halt military action across multiple fronts, including in Lebanon, and could mark a major step towards ending months of regional conflict that has disrupted global trade and heightened geopolitical tensions.

The Iranian side urged caution, emphasizing that discussions are still underway and that no final decision has yet been announced.
