New Delhi: The Union Government has sought time until Saturday afternoon on demands of Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) to remove Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, said the party after the spokespersons met two union ministers of the Narendra Modi government.
CJP spokespersons Saurav Das and Arvind Ranka met Union Ministers JP Nadda and Jitendra Singh at Sardar Vitthal Bhai Patel Bhavan near the Jantar Mantar.
"The government has asked for time till tomorrow afternoon on our demand for Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation. We hope the government will remove him soon," Ranka told after the meeting to reporters.

“We had a detailed discussion with the government on the resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan. The government has sought time till tomorrow. If there is no resignation, the movement will become much bigger from here," he said.
“Our first demand is the resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan," Das said.
"The government has expressed in-principle approval on the two demands of compensation for families of NEET aspirants who died by suicide and withdrawal of FIRs and legal cases on students," he said.
On the other hand, in a social media post, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the concerns of the student protesters adding that nothing is more important than the welfare and future of youth of the country.
Modi’s statement comes amid ongoing student protests at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar over NEET paper leak case.

Modi said he has directed the concerned authorities and officials to take all necessary steps in this regard. He asserted that those who try to harm the future of the youth will not be spared.
Sonam Wangchuk, supporter of CJP student protest, ended his hunger strike at Medanta Hospital in Gurugram after Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s statement in presence of Nadda and Singh.
