New Delhi (India), June 7: The National Testing Agency on Saturday dismissed as "false" and "fraudulent" claims circulating on social media about the alleged leak or sale of the NEET-UG 2026 re-examination question paper and warned of strict action against those spreading such content.

The NEET-UG retest is scheduled for June 21. The NTA said it was actively identifying and reporting the offending channels, accounts and content to the platforms and cybercrime authorities for immediate takedown and action.

The agency said it is reporting offending accounts, filing complaints with authorities, and warned of strict action against those spreading such content.

The NEET-UG exams are the entry gate for students who want to become doctors and other medical professionals. The exams this year remained in controversy because of the alleged mismanagement and paper leaks.

The agency further said it was filing a formal complaint with law enforcement and cybercrime authorities, warning that creating, circulating or forwarding such fraudulent content, and attempting to defraud students, constituted a serious punishable offence.

Going further, in a post on X, the agency said that such content is the work of organised cheating rackets that prey on the anxiety of students and their families. Their objective is to extort money by selling fake "papers," and every such claim circulating is a fabrication, post added.

"NTA wishes to make the following absolutely clear: The integrity of the examination process is fully intact, and every safeguard is in place to ensure a fair and secure examination for all candidates," the X post added.

The agency stated that candidates and parents are strongly advised not to engage with, pay, or forward any such message, and not to fall prey to these fraudulent solicitations.

"We urge all aspirants to ignore these rumours and to rely solely on official communication issued by NTA through its verified website and channels. Any genuine information will come only from these sources," the agency wrote in the post.
