New Delhi: India's Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan is submitted his resignation amid the widespread students protest called by Cockroach Janta Party (CJP).
Interestingly, soon after Pradhan submits his resignation on social media post X, Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh started trending.
CJP founder while addressing the protesters at Jantar Mantar took a dig at Defense Minister.
"They used to say that resignations don't happen under this government. We say—the world bows; one just needs someone capable of making it bow," said Dipke while addressing the protesters.
This stems from Rajnath Singh's 2015 statement regarding Lalit Modi and other issues where he told reporters that this is NDA government and resignations dont happen here.
Answering reporters he said, "This is the NDA government, not the UPA; resignations do not happen here."
Pradhan made his resignation public by posting the resignation letter on social media platform X, just an hour before the scheduled 3:30 p.m. meeting between government representatives and CJP leaders.
Pradhan attached a two page letter in his post in which he said, "I hold deep respect for the aspirations, sentiments, and rightful expectations of the youth of this country. Realising the dreams of India's young generation has been the moral resolve of our political and social life. I express my gratitude to Hon'ble Prime Minister for the opportunity given to me to serve the nation under his visionary leadership."
The resignation addresses what the CJP had described as its primary and non-negotiable demand.
Earlier in the day, the party had warned that it would not participate in the dialogue unless the Centre acted on its demand for Pradhan's resignation, calling any discussions without such a move "meaningless."
The Centre had until now stood firmly behind the Education Minister, with government sources indicating there were no plans to seek his resignation or remove him from office.

However, the political pressure intensified after Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi called for Pradhan to step down, alleging corruption within the Education Ministry and demanding reforms beginning at the highest level.
The development is being viewed as a significant breakthrough for the CJP, which has been leading protests over the issue. Alongside the minister's resignation, the government has reportedly agreed to two other key demands: ₹1 crore in compensation for the families of those who died by suicide and assurance that no FIRs will be filed against protesters.
