While close relatives of the family are also reported to have significant stakes in three separate companies.

Congress attack on BJP

Reacting to the controversy, Congress leader Mukesh Nayak alleged that Mohan Yadav’s land holdings increased significantly over the years.

Speaking on the revelation in Bhopal, Nayak said:

"When Mohan Yadav became the Education Minister, he had 10 acres of land. Today, he reportedly owns 250 acres of land. Another matter that has now come into discussion is that his MLA representative recently purchased 65 acres of land in a very short period of time."

Senior Congress leader Jairam Ramesh also targeted the BJP, saying the allegations showed that the party’s “double engine” government in Madhya Pradesh had become an “engine of loot”.

He said:

"In the BJP's 'double engine' government in Madhya Pradesh, the 'engine of loot' is running at full speed. The Chief Minister of the state himself, Mohan Yadav, has become the mastermind of this loot."

The Congress demanded the Chief Minister’s resignation and called for an inquiry into the allegations.

In a separate press conference, Congress leader Jitu Patwari described the issue as the “loot of Mahakal land” and demanded an investigation by a sitting Supreme Court judge.

Akhilesh Yadav Calls It BJP Internal Fight

Meanwhile, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav described the controversy as an internal BJP matter and claimed the allegations were part of a political conspiracy.

SP Supremo said, "The BJP has hatched a conspiracy to defame Mohan Yadav. If these allegations are against Mohan Yadav, then the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister has taken 300-600 acres of land. This is nothing new. He used to work in real estate before. Doesn't the BJP know this?"

SP Supremo further added that these allegations are being made because the BJP is looking for a way to change 3 chief ministers.

"hey want to change the chief minister, so they are getting these allegations made... They want to remove the chief ministers of Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan. They are removing these two so that they can remove the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister. This is a conspiracy to remove them...The people of Uttar Pradesh know that this time the cycle will run so fast that the chief minister will be removed on its own."

The controversy has intensified political exchanges in Madhya Pradesh, with opposition parties demanding investigations while alleging questions over land deals and government projects.
