New Delhi [India]: Fresh revelations have emerged in the Ketan Agarwal murder case, with investigators claiming that prime accused Siya allegedly studied another high-profile murder case to plan the crime and avoid mistakes that could expose her.

According to sources familiar with the investigation and media reports, forensic examination of a second mobile phone allegedly linked to Siya has revealed that she and co-accused Chetan had secretly married nearly four months ago, despite her engagement to Ketan.

Investigators believe the alleged marriage took place after Siya's engagement to Ketan, a development that has added a new dimension to the ongoing probe.

The investigation has also revealed that Siya allegedly conducted extensive research into the murder case involving Sonam Raghuvanshi before allegedly plotting Ketan's killing.

According to investigators, she closely followed the case to understand how the investigation unfolded, examined the alleged mistakes that exposed the accused, and attempted to avoid making similar errors.

Police suspect that the accused researched crime patterns, studied police investigation techniques, analysed digital evidence trails, and planned alibis in an attempt to evade detection. Investigators also believe efforts were made to conceal evidence and minimise the digital footprint linked to the crime.

According to police, the murder was allegedly planned in multiple stages. Investigators claim that WhatsApp chats and other digital conversations, which had reportedly been deleted, were recovered by forensic experts and indicate detailed discussions between the two accused regarding the execution of the alleged crime.

The probe has further revealed that Chetan allegedly entered the fort wearing a hoodie and with his face covered in an apparent attempt to conceal his identity.

Police are also attempting to establish who allegedly pushed Ketan off the cliff. However, investigators have acknowledged that there is no eyewitness to the incident, making forensic and digital evidence crucial to the prosecution's case.

According to investigators, the accused had allegedly prepared responses in advance in case they were questioned by police and had also conducted online searches, including on Google and YouTube, related to the alleged crime.

Although the accused initially attempted to make Ketan's death appear to be an accident, investigators say suspicion raised by Ketan's family, particularly his father and sister, prompted a closer examination of the case, leading the investigation in a different direction.

Both Sia and Chetan remain in judicial custody as the investigation continues. Police are examining digital evidence and other material collected during the probe to strengthen the case before trial.

The allegations made by investigators are part of the ongoing probe and are yet to be tested in court.
