New Delhi [India]: Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra is set to begin on July 3 as all the preparations have been completed for the smooth conduct of the pilgrimage.

Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra is an annual event in which thousands of devotees take part to worship lord Shiva.

In a report, Akashvani said that a full-scale dry trial run was conducted today to assess security arrangements, convoy movement, and overall preparedness before the official commencement of the pilgrimage.

In the Kashmir Valley, foolproof security and elaborate arrangements have been put in place ahead of the annual Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra. The 57-day pilgrimage will begin on 3rd July and conclude on 28th August.

Earlier, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has chaired multiple high-level review meetings to review preparedness.

Senior police and civil administration officials have also visited Pahalgam and Baltal to assess ground arrangements.

A multi-tier security grid has been established by the Jammu and Kashmir Police, the Army, and Central Armed Police Forces. Both base camps at Nunwan and Baltal have been fully sanitised.

Over 670 companies of paramilitary forces will be deployed along the Yatra routes. Mountain warfare teams and drones have been pressed into service, while CCTV surveillance has been strengthened for round-the-clock monitoring. Radio Frequency Identification tags have been issued to registered pilgrims to enable real-time tracking.
