New Delhi (India), June 8: Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK), and Aam Admi Party skipped India block's meeting that took place in the national capital.
The absence of CM Vijay's TVK, Stalin's DMK, and Arvind Kejriwal's AAP raised a significant question about the unity of the opposition against the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
A meeting of the opposition INDIA bloc leaders was held at the Constitutional Club of India on Monday. This meeting marks their first meeting since the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
Why TVK, DMK, AAP Skipped India bloc meeting?
TVK, which shocked the political analysts after it emerged as the single largest party in the recently concluded Tamil Nadu elections was not invited as the meeting was centered around the issues of national affairs.
Notably, TVK has not contested any Lok Sabha election. On the other hand, DMK has distanced with Congress after the grand old party broke the poll alliance and supported TVK after the Tamil Nadu elections.
Meanwhile, AAP has been targeting Congress as the INC is a direct opposition party in Punjab.
Who all were present?
